Were your parents overprotective?

When you were growing up, were your parents overprotective?

Mine were VERY overprotective!! My mom didn't like to drive at night, so we didn't get to go to some of the events and things that other kids did but she also said No a lot to other activities. I felt confined to home a lot!! We had a group of friends we played with and stayed outside for long periods of time, but had to ask permission to play with friends across the street or down the street.

Even as a teen, my mom wouldn't let me go to a lot of places. Eventually I stopped telling her that I was going to some things and gave vague answers to her. I hated doing that, but I hated missing out on things too.

Mine definitely were NOT! They didn't care. 😭
